Protein Description: Partial of NM_011336
Tag Info: Tag-Free
Mol. Weight: 10.9 kDa
Biological_Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood lymphocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.
Purity: >98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Endotoxin: Less than 1.0 EU/µg as determined by LAL method.
Form: Lyophilized powder
Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered PBS, pH 7.4
Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20?/-80?. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4? for up to one week.
Alternative Name/ Alias: CC chemokine ILC, CTACK, ESkine, IL-11 R-alpha-locus chemokine, ALP
Relevance: Chemotactic factor that attracts skin-associated memory T-lymphocytes. May play a role in mediating homing of lymphocytes to cutaneous sites. May play a role in cell migration during embryogenesis. Nuclear forms may facilitate cellular migration by inducing cytoskeletal relaxation. Binds to CCR10.

Involvement in disease:
Subcellular Location: Isoform 1: Secreted, Nucleus
Protein Families: Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family
Tissue Specificity: Isoform 1 is predominantly expressed in placenta and weakly in skin. Isoform 2 is predominantly expressed in testes and brain, weakly in kidney and liver and even lower in heart and muscle. Low expression of both isoforms in other tissues.
